Kidnap For Ransom: Police Rescue 19-Year-Old Youth In Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: Police rescued a 19-year-old abductee who was held captive for Rs 20 million in ransom.

According to a police spokesman, the kidnapper – identified as Afrasiab – was apprehended, and police have recovered weapons and a stolen vehicle in his possession.

The kidnapper was a Hazro local who rented a house in Rawalpindi with evil intentions. Haseeb Al Hassan was taken hostage by four kidnappers being held at gunpoint. Haseeb was riding his motorcycle home from a birthday party with a friend when the incident happened.

For his safe return, the kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs 20 million and also sent a video statement of the abductee to the parents in which he was asking to pay money to save his life.

Saddar Bairuni police registered a case and arrested the main accused with the help of scientific and human intelligence. The raids are being conducted to apprehend the accused’s other accomplices. The culprit will be brought before the court with concrete evidence and punished.
