IESCO announces Thursday power suspension schedule

Islamabad: Residents of several areas in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock and Jhelum will experience scheduled power outages on Thursday as the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) undertakes maintenance and development work on its electricity network.
According to the IESCO schedule, power supply in parts of Islamabad will remain suspended from 6 am to 10 am at Navy-1, Sowan Garden-I and Sowan Garden-II feeders. The Pir Sohawa and Numble feeders will face outages from 8 am to noon.
In Rawalpindi Cantt, electricity supply to Jhata Hatyal, Bhal and Jarrar Camp will remain suspended from 5 am to 10 am. Several other feeders, including Sagri, Gracy Line, RIC, Takbeer-I, Dhoke Farman Ali, Tipu Road, Jahangir Road, Rahimabad, Rehmatabad-1, PAF and Chaklala, will remain without power from 6 am to 10 am.
In Rawalpindi City, the BBH, Benazir Bhutto Hospital, Sector-IV, APHS, Tehmasamabad and Dhoke Hukam Dad feeders are scheduled to remain suspended from 6 am to 10 am.
In Attock, power supply to Hussain Abad and Industrial Estate Bahtar will be suspended from 5 am to noon. Other areas, including Attock Rural, Teen Mela, Bagh Nelab, GBHP Colony-1 and 2, Pind Parian, MPCHS B-17, Saray Kharboza, Sangjani, Shah Allah Ditta and surrounding localities, will face outages from 6 am to 10 am.
In Jhelum Circle, the F-9 (Chak Daulat) and Jakkar feeders will remain suspended from 6 am to 10 am.
Meanwhile, maintenance work on the GSO Circle network will result in longer outages. The 132kV AWC-HMC Taxila and 132kV Sangjani-Burhan transmission lines will remain suspended from 9 am to 4 pm, while the 132kV Kahuta City-Palandri and 132kV New Wah-Bahtermore lines, along with related earth switches and surrounding areas, will remain affected from 8 am to 6 pm.
IESCO has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance. The company apologized for the temporary inconvenience and said power supply would be restored earlier if the scheduled maintenance work was completed ahead of time.
