ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced a temporary power suspension schedule for Friday, affecting numerous localities across the federal capital due to ongoing development projects in the district.
According to the power utility, the scheduled outages are necessitated by critical infrastructural work coordinated alongside the district administration.
Maintenance teams will utilize the shutdown window to upgrade grid stations and string new transmission lines to improve long-term system reliability.
Residents residing within the jurisdiction of the designated feeders have been advised to make prior arrangements to mitigate potential disruptions to daily routines, commercial activities, and water supplies. Hospital and emergency services within the affected zones, however, are expected to maintain contingency backup generation.
