Karachi: Islamabad United produced a dominant bowling display to leave Hyderabad Kingsmen reeling for just 80 runs in the 36th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11 at the National Stadium Karachi, setting up a modest target of 81 runs for victory.

After winning the toss and opting to field, Islamabad United immediately justified their decision as their bowlers dismantled Hyderabad’s batting lineup with relentless pressure. The Kingsmen never found stability at the crease, losing wickets at regular intervals and failing to build any meaningful partnerships.

Hyderabad’s innings collapsed in 16 overs, marking their lowest total of the season so far—well below their previous best of 130 runs against Lahore Qalandars. Usman Khan offered brief resistance with a top score of 25, but received little support from the other end as the rest of the batting order faltered.

The Islamabad attack was led by an impressive combined effort from Richard Gleeson, Shadab Khan, and Imad Wasim, who each claimed three wickets to wrap up the innings efficiently.

Islamabad United made two changes to their playing XI, bringing in Mohsin Riaz and Salman Mirza in place of Mohammad Hasnain and Mohammad Faiq. Hyderabad Kingsmen also made a single adjustment, with Asif Mahmood replacing Akif Javed.

With just 81 runs needed, Islamabad United now hold a strong advantage heading into the chase.
