Islamabad: Bani Gala police have arrested a suspect allegedly involved in a house theft and recovered laptops, gold jewellery, watches and other valuables worth more than Rs600,000, Islamabad Police said.
According to a police spokesperson, the Bani Gala police station team launched an investigation after a theft was reported at a residential property.
The suspect allegedly entered the house and stole laptops, gold jewellery, watches and other valuables.
Police said the suspect, identified as Habib, was traced and arrested with the help of modern technology and human intelligence.
Valuables worth more than Rs600,000, including precious watches, laptops and gold jewellery, were recovered from his possession, the spokesperson said.
SSP (Operations) Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza said Islamabad Police were conducting large-scale operations against criminal elements and taking measures to protect citizens and their property.
He said the protection of the lives and property of citizens remained the top priority of Islamabad police.
