Islamabad: Jordan secured a commanding 3-0 victory over Pakistan in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers match held at the Jinnah Stadium in the Pakistan Sports Complex on Thursday.

Mousa Al Tamari, a standout player for Jordan, showcased his skill with two goals, while his teammate Ali Olwan contributed with another goal.

The match kicked off with a quick goal from Tamari in the 2nd minute, assisted by Al-Mardi, leaving Pakistan with little chance to defend against Jordan’s early lead.

Just seven minutes later, Jordan was awarded a penalty which was expertly converted by Ali Olwan, soaring Jordan’s lead to 2-0 by the 9th minute mark of the first half.

Despite Pakistan’s efforts to score during the second half, they were unable to find the back of the net. Tamari once again proved his prowess by scoring Jordan’s third goal in the 86th minute, receiving a pass from Al Naimat.

The return fixture between Pakistan and Jordan is scheduled to be played in Jordan on March 26.
