HYDERABAD: Unsuccessful candidates of the Sindh Public Service Commission’s (SPSC) Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024 commenced a march to Karachi on Friday, departing from their protest camp established outside the commission’s office.
The demonstrators are voicing their grievances over alleged irregularities in the examination process.
The protesters, organized by the Sindh Students Action Committee, are demanding a re-test of the CCE 2024, comprehensive reforms within the SPSC, the dismissal of the commission’s management, and a judicial inquiry into the examination’s conduct.
They have maintained their protest camp at Thandi Sarak for the past 81 days following the announcement of the CCE 2024 results.
This march, led by prominent student leaders including Zabiullah Mastoi and Wajahat Hingorjo, is set to traverse through Tando Muhammad Khan and Thatta before culminating in a demonstration outside the Chief Minister’s House in Karachi.
The candidates argue that the integrity of the examination process is crucial for fair employment opportunities in the province.
As the march progresses, it highlights ongoing concerns regarding transparency and accountability within public service examinations in Sindh.
The outcome of this protest may influence future policies regarding recruitment and examination practices in the region.
