Court Declares Pinky’s Brother Proclaimed Offender

KARACHI: A special Anti-Narcotics Court in Karachi has declared Muhammad Nasir, the brother of alleged illicit drug syndicate operator Anmol alias Pinky, a proclaimed offender after he absconded following the grant of post-arrest bail in a high-profile narcotics case.
Court officials confirmed that Nasir persistently failed to appear for trial proceedings despite repeated summonses and non-bailable arrest warrants issued by the bench.
Nasir, alongside his sister Anmol Pinky and co-accused Naseem Bibi, faces serious charges for allegedly running an extensive narcotics distribution ring across several districts of the metropolis.
The prosecution informed the court that the suspect deliberately went into hiding to evade judicial accountability immediately after securing his temporary release.
The legal action against absconding suspects highlights growing institutional concern over trial delays caused by defendants jumping bail in major narcotics cases.
Law enforcement agencies in Sindh have recently intensified crackdown operations against organized drug syndicates operating across urban centers, aiming to dismantle financial and logistical networks supporting illicit trade.
Ordering the forfeiture of legal surety bonds submitted during Nasir’s bail application, the court directed law enforcement authorities and the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) to initiate property attachment proceedings against him.
The bench adjourned the trial while instructing police authorities to track down, arrest, and present the proclaimed offender before the court without further delay.
