Two Killed on Motorway

Islamabad: At least two people lost their lives and two others sustained injuries in a collision between a passenger bus and a trailer on the M-3 Motorway near Nankana Sahib early Friday morning, according to a spokesperson for the Motorway Police.
Initial investigations suggest the accident occurred due to the bus driver reportedly falling asleep at the wheel, leading the vehicle to crash into a trailer that was either moving slowly or parked ahead, a private news channel reported.
Rescue teams reached the scene promptly and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital. Two passengers died on the spot.
Motorway Police have reiterated their warning to drivers to take adequate rest before undertaking long journeys and avoid driving while fatigued. A formal investigation into the incident is currently underway to determine the exact cause.
