Traffic Plan Issued for Movement of Foreign Delegations

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have issued a traffic advisory warning of temporary diversions on Srinagar Highway and Faisal Avenue due to the movement of foreign delegations, urging commuters to use alternative routes and allow extra time for their journeys.
According to the Islamabad Police spokesperson, diversions will be implemented at various points along Srinagar Highway, from the Red Zone to Koral, at different times.
Traffic on Srinagar Highway has been advised to use Suhrawardy Road, G-8 Service Road and Ninth Avenue as alternative routes.
Commuters travelling from Zero Point towards Koral should use Ninth Avenue. Meanwhile, those travelling from Koral to Islamabad have been advised to take the Old Airport route, Rawal Road, Rawalpindi-Murree Road and Faqir Eppi Road via IJP Road.
In case of closures on Koral Expressway, Murree Road or Club Road, motorists can use Lehtrar Road and Park Road as alternative routes.
Citizens travelling out of Islamabad have been advised to use Jinnah Avenue and Margalla Road. Meanwhile, commuters travelling from Bhara Kahu towards Islamabad should use Bani Gala and Park Road.
The police warned that traffic congestion is expected on major roads during the diversion periods and advised citizens to allow an additional 20 to 25 minutes for their journeys.
Commuters have been urged to plan their travel accordingly and follow traffic police instructions to avoid inconvenience.
