Three Arrested in Pirwadhai Assault Case Involving Minor

Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Police have arrested three suspects involved in the assault of a 14-year-old boy in the Pirwadhai area.

According to the First Information Report (FIR), the incident occurred two days ago when the victim was returning home from a nearby playground. The suspects allegedly abducted him and took him to a deserted location where he was assaulted.

Police registered a case and, using modern investigative techniques along with human intelligence, successfully traced and apprehended the accused.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Rawal, Saad Arshad, stated that solid evidence is being gathered against the suspects and they will be presented before the court to ensure strict punishment.

He added that no leniency would be shown to those involved in such heinous crimes.

IGP Rizvi Reviews Reforms, Training and Welfare Projects

Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Inspector General of Islamabad Police, chaired a high-level meeting to review key departmental matters and ongoing reforms.

The meeting was attended by senior officers, including DIG Headquarters and AIG Logistics, where progress on assigned tasks and implementation status were assessed.

Discussions focused on reforms in the investigation system, improvements in training at the Capital Police College, and welfare initiatives for police personnel.

Officials said a future strategy was also devised to further strengthen institutional performance and enhance operational efficiency.

IGP Rizvi emphasized the need for timely execution of responsibilities and directed officers to ensure better coordination and maintain high professional standards across all departments.
