Seven youths killed in Kahuta accident after waterfall trip

Islamabad: At least seven youths lost their lives in a tragic traffic accident in Kahuta, while separate incidents in Multan and Wazirabad also claimed several lives.

According to family sources, a rickshaw carrying a group of youths met with an accident while returning from a waterfall tour in Khursheedabad tehsil of Kahuta.

Two youths died on the spot, while five others, who were injured in the accident, later succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. The victims were reportedly cousins.

In another incident, two youths were killed after two motorcycles collided during a race on Gilani Flyover in Multan. A rescue spokesperson confirmed that the bodies were handed over to the heirs.

Meanwhile, a tragic drowning incident occurred in the Chenab River near Kot Bela, a suburb of Wazirabad, where eight women drowned while bathing during a picnic trip.

According to rescue officials, four women were rescued by local residents, while the body of one woman, identified as Hafsa, was recovered from the river. Rescue teams are continuing search operations for three missing women identified as Samia, Seerat Shahzadi and Iman Fatima.
