Cloudy Skies, High Humidity to Persist in Lahore

Lahore:  Hot, humid, and partly cloudy weather was recorded in the city today, with the MET office predicting similar conditions for the next 24 hours.

MET officials noted that continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country, leading to expectations of mainly hot and dry weather nationwide. However, isolated areas in Kashmir and nearby hilly regions may experience partly cloudy weather with rain and thunderstorms during the evening and night.

The highest temperature today was recorded in Nokkundi at 43°C, while Lahore reached a high of 37.8°C and a minimum of 27.7°C.

Heavy rain was reported in several areas of Karachi, including Model Colony in Malir, on Tuesday morning, while other parts of the city experienced scattered showers.

Sharea Faisal, Shah Faisal Colony, the airport, and nearby residential zones also received rainfall. Light showers were recorded in Malir Halt, Rafah-e-Aam, and surrounding areas, with rain also reported in Surjani Town and Korangi.

“Even with a small amount of rain, the road outside my house is flooded, making it impossible for me to reach the office,” said a resident of Gulistan-e-Jauhar. Several roads across the city became waterlogged following the morning downpour.
