Police Arrest Parents for Forcibly Marrying Underage Daughter

Lahore: Pakistan’s first Virtual Women police station, established in Safe City Lahore, intervened to prevent the forced marriage of a 12-year-old girl. 

The parents were attempting to marry their underage daughter to a foreign national for financial gain. 

After receiving a report from neighbors, the Virtual Women Police Station (VWPS) quickly dispatched officers to the scene. 

The police stopped the marriage and arrested both the girl’s parents and the Nikaah-Khawan. Women can also access assistance through the VWPS via the Women Safety App’s live chat and video call features.
