PM Shehbaz, Saudi Crown Prince Discuss Regional Tensions

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation on Wednesday with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, focusing on regional tensions and ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation.
During the “warm and cordial” exchange, the prime minister briefed the crown prince on Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic outreach to various stakeholders, emphasizing the need for dialogue and diplomacy to resolve differences and restore stability.

The Saudi crown prince appreciated Pakistan’s peace initiatives and acknowledged its role in promoting calm amid rising tensions in the region.
Prime Minister Shehbaz strongly condemned the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia and reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity and support for the Kingdom and its people during the challenging period.
He also commended the Saudi leadership for exercising restraint in the current situation, reaffirming that Pakistan would continue to stand by Saudi Arabia as a trusted ally.

Calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities, the prime minister stressed the importance of restoring normalcy and ensuring regional stability. He further underscored the need for unity and harmony within the Muslim Ummah during a critical time.
The prime minister also extended Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the crown prince, and the people of Saudi Arabia, with the crown prince reciprocating the sentiments.
