Met Office Warns of Storms, Hail and Temperature Drop Across Sindh

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather advisory warning of rain, windstorms, thunderstorms and isolated hailstorms across multiple districts of Sindh from April 2 to April 4.

Under the influence of a westerly weather system approaching southwestern Balochistan, intermittent weather activity with occasional gaps is expected in Karachi, Thatta, Badin, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Dadu, Kashmore, Jacobabad, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad and Tharparkar.

The Met Office cautioned that strong winds, lightning and hailstorms may damage vulnerable infrastructure, including electric poles, billboards and solar panels, while also posing a risk to standing crops.

Farmers have been advised to take precautionary measures to protect their crops, while tourists and travellers are urged to avoid unnecessary movement and remain cautious during the forecast period.

Daytime temperatures are expected to drop, adding to the changing weather pattern.

Authorities concerned have been directed to remain vigilant and take necessary steps to prevent any untoward situation during the spell.
