OGRA Announces Reduction in RLNG Prices for Sept 2026

ISLAMABAD: In a major relief for consumers and industrial sectors, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) officially issued a notification on Friday announcing a substantial reduction in the prices of imported Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) for the month of September 2026. The revised pricing structure follows a downward trend in international energy markets, bringing much-needed financial respite to both domestic and commercial gas users across the country.
According to the official notification released by the regulatory body, the downward adjustment applies to both the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) networks. Industry experts note that the reduction in RLNG rates is expected to significantly lower production costs for export-oriented industries, particularly the textile and manufacturing sectors, which heavily rely on uninterrupted gas supply to maintain competitive edge globally.
