NADRA Biometrics Mandatory for All Zo Cards in Peshawar’s Bus System
News Desk
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has mandated biometric verification and registration through NADRA for all Zo cards used in the ‘Zuo Peshawar’ bus system.
This requirement aims to enhance security and streamline the public transport system.
According to Trans Peshawar officials, the deadline for registration is set for December 31, 2026. After this date, any unregistered cards will be blocked starting January 1, 2027.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to modernize public transport and ensure that all users are properly identified.
The introduction of mandatory biometric verification is expected to significantly impact commuters, as it will require them to register their details with NADRA, potentially leading to increased compliance and security within the transport system.
This move also aligns with global trends towards digitization and enhanced safety measures in public services.
Looking ahead, officials are urging all users to complete their registration before the deadline to avoid disruptions in their travel. Public awareness campaigns are expected to be launched to inform citizens about the new requirements and the registration process.
