K-Electric Announces End to Load Shedding in Karachi
News Desk
KARACHI: K-Electric has announced the cessation of load shedding in various areas of Karachi, citing improved power supply stability following the restoration of RLNG (Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas) deliveries and consistent electricity generation from the Bin Qasim Power Station.
The utility company stated that while load shedding will be lifted in most regions, areas with higher rates of electricity theft will continue to experience scheduled outages. This decision comes as part of K-Electric’s ongoing efforts to enhance service reliability and address the challenges posed by power theft.
This development is significant for Karachi’s residents, who have faced prolonged power outages, impacting daily life and economic activities. The reduction in load shedding is expected to alleviate some of the burdens on citizens and businesses, fostering a more stable environment for economic growth.
K-Electric has committed to monitoring the situation closely and will provide updates on any changes to the load shedding schedule, particularly in areas still facing issues related to electricity theft. The company aims to ensure that all customers benefit from a reliable power supply moving forward.
