News Desk
Islamabad: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has unveiled a comprehensive traffic management plan for Wednesday, August 5, to facilitate a walk being held in observance of Exploitation Day.
According to the ITP, the walk will begin at D Chowk and conclude at the Foreign Office. During the event, traffic will remain completely closed in both directions along the route between D Chowk and the Foreign Office to ensure public safety and the smooth movement of participants.
To minimize disruption, the traffic police have announced alternative routes for commuters. Vehicles coming from the Secretariat have been advised to use Ayub Road via Embassy Road, while motorists approaching from Serena Hotel should also take Embassy Road.
Similarly, traffic from Bari Imam has been diverted to New Bari Imam Road, whereas commuters traveling from Club Road have been advised to use Embassy Road and Seventh Avenue.
The Islamabad Traffic Police has appealed to the public to cooperate with traffic officials, follow the designated diversion routes, and plan their travel in advance to avoid delays.
Citizens have also been encouraged to stay informed about the latest road closures and traffic conditions by following the Islamabad Traffic Police’s official social media accounts and tuning in to FM 92.4.
