ISLAMABAD: Imprisoned former prime minister and founding chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has reportedly directed his party leadership to initiate a vote of no-confidence against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi.
The directive was conveyed through his sister, Noreen Niazi, following a meeting at Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail on Sunday, citing the chief minister’s failure to lead a decisive long march towards the federal capital.
According to party sources, the incarcerated PTI founder expressed profound dissatisfaction with the provincial administration’s inability to mobilize workers and execute the planned Islamabad protest effectively.
