Govt Directs Hajj Applicants to Pay Dues by October 20
News Desk
ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has issued an urgent advisory directing all prospective pilgrims enrolled under the official Hajj scheme to deposit their second installment of dues prior to October 20 to avoid the immediate cancellation of their applications.
According to official sources within the ministry, failure to submit the mandatory payment within the designated timeframe will result in the forfeiture of the applicant’s seat. The vacant slots will subsequently be transferred to deserving candidates on the contingency waiting list.
Ministry officials confirmed that designated commercial banks across Pakistan have been formally instructed to assist applicants in completing their financial transactions without delay.
Pilgrims are strongly advised to verify their transaction receipts and retain official confirmation slips from their respective bank branches.
This decisive policy measure is part of the federal government’s comprehensive effort to finalize critical logistical preparations well in advance of the annual pilgrimage.
Saudi authorities have implemented stringent operational schedules for flight allocations, tent accommodations in Mina and Arafat, and mandatory health clearances.
Ministry representatives emphasized that timely fee collection is paramount to securing high-quality amenities and ensuring seamless visa processing for the tens of thousands of Pakistani citizens embarking on the sacred journey.
The ministry reiterated that no extension will be provided beyond the October 20 deadline under any circumstances, given the strict timelines imposed by international aviation and Saudi regulatory protocols.
Following the completion of the payment cycle, the government plans to initiate mandatory health screenings and comprehensive training workshops across major cities to prepare pilgrims for the upcoming Hajj season.
