Diesel Price Slashed by Rs13, Petrol Steady for Fortnight

Islamabad: On Friday, the federal government announced a reduction in the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs12.84 per litre, while the price of petrol remains unchanged for the next two weeks.
Following this adjustment, the price of HSD has been lowered from Rs285.83 to Rs272.99 per litre. Petrol prices continue to stay steady at Rs264.61 per litre.
According to a statement from the Finance Division, the revised petroleum prices—based on recommendations from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and relevant ministries—will come into effect from August 16 and remain valid for 15 days.
Additionally, the government has reduced prices for other petroleum products. The price of superior kerosene oil has been decreased by Rs7.19, from Rs185.46 to Rs178.27 per litre, and light diesel oil has dropped by Rs8.20, from Rs170.36 to Rs162.37 per litre.
