Islamabad: Innovation and employability took centre stage as the National University of Technology (NUTECH) hosted its annual Open House, offering industry leaders a first-hand look at student-developed technologies and research with commercial potential.

The event featured final-year projects from students across a range of disciplines, with a focus on practical applications, emerging technologies, and solutions designed to address current industry needs.

Business executives and corporate representatives reviewed the projects, engaged with students, and explored opportunities for collaboration, internships, and talent recruitment.

Limited CEO Wahaj Siraj attended as the chief guest, while JAZZ Enterprise Vice President Numan Faruq was the guest of honour and Pakistan Sweet Home CEO Zamurrad Khan participated as the special guest.

Addressing students, Wahaj Siraj encouraged them to think beyond conventional approaches, embrace innovation, and use technology to solve real-world challenges. Numan Faruq lauded NUTECH’s emphasis on hands-on, market-driven education, saying such initiatives help bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry expectations.

University officials said the Open House reflects NUTECH’s commitment to fostering innovation, strengthening collaboration with industry, and preparing graduates with the skills needed to contribute to Pakistan’s growing technology and knowledge economy.
