AJK to Execute Rs20B Package, 100-Day Plan: Muqam

ISLAMABAD:Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Ameer Muqam, has announced that the federal government will strictly implement a comprehensive Rs20 billion development package alongside a targeted 100-day execution plan for Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
The initiative aims to accelerate regional infrastructure growth, improve public service delivery, and elevate the standard of living for citizens across the territory.
Chairing a high-level review meeting in the federal capital, Ameer Muqam emphasized that transparency and timely completion remain the top priorities for the administration.
The Rs20 billion allocation is designated for critical sectors including road networks, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and clean drinking water supplies, addressing long-standing public grievances in the region.
The announcement carries significant political and economic implications for the region, coming at a time when effective governance and rapid infrastructural uplift are crucial for regional stability.
Analysts note that successful execution of the 100-day plan could substantially mitigate administrative bottlenecks and foster economic resilience in AJK, ensuring that federal funds translate into tangible benefits for the local populace.
Moving forward, the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs will establish a specialized monitoring cell to oversee the daily progress of the initiated projects.
Senior officials have been directed to conduct field visits and submit fortnightly progress reports directly to the federal ministry to guarantee strict adherence to the stipulated timelines.
