Young Girl Allegedly Raped, Murdered in Gujarat

Gujrat: A four-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered after going missing from the Karim Dad area of Gujarat, with police recovering her body from a storm drain three days later.

According to police, a kidnapping case was initially registered at Sadar Jalalpur Jatan police station after the child disappeared. Family members told investigators that she had last been seen with her 17-year-old cousin.

During the investigation, police detained the teenage cousin for questioning. Authorities said the suspect allegedly confessed to sexually assaulting and killing the child.

Police said the suspect subsequently led investigators to a storm drain near the girl’s home, where her body was found wrapped in a sack.

The child was taken for a postmortem examination, after which her body was handed over to her family for burial.

The incident has left the girl’s parents and relatives devastated, while police have registered a case against the teenage suspect and continued their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the killing.

Authorities are expected to determine further details, including the exact cause of death and other circumstances of the alleged assault, as the investigation proceeds.
