Karachi: Pakistani actress Ayeza Khan has seemingly put an end to recent speculation about trouble in her marriage to actor Danish Taimur, responding to the rumours with a single word: “fake”.

The actress reacted to a post shared by a fan account discussing the divorce and separation claims. Her brief response was interpreted by fans as a direct rejection of the speculation surrounding the couple.

Rumours about the pair had circulated on social media in recent weeks, largely driven by observations about their online activity and their limited public appearances together.

Speculation intensified after Ayeza was reportedly absent from a special screening linked to the closing ceremony of Danish Taimur’s drama ‘Humrahi’ in Karachi. Social media users also noted that the couple did not make prominent public posts for their wedding anniversary on August 8.

The absence of family photographs and birthday-related posts around August 14 further fuelled online discussion, with some users attempting to interpret their social media activity as signs of marital difficulties.

Ayeza’s later black-and-white photograph, showing her covering both ears with her hands, also became the subject of speculation, with some followers linking the image to the rumours.

Neither Ayeza Khan nor Danish Taimur had previously issued an official statement confirming any separation or marital dispute. Much of the discussion appeared to be based on social media observations rather than verified information.

Ayeza’s one-word response now provides her clearest public reaction to the claims so far, although she did not offer further details about her personal life.

The couple, who have been married for more than a decade, remain among Pakistan’s most recognisable showbiz pairs. Ayeza is known for popular dramas including ‘Pyare Afzal’, ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’ and ‘Chupke Chupke’, while Danish Taimur has also established a prominent career in television.
