US Issues Warning Across Middle East—Here’s Why

Middle East: The United States has issued fresh security advisories for its citizens across the Middle East, signaling growing concerns that the conflict involving Iran, the US and Israel could widen with little warning.
US embassies in nearly 10 countries, including Israel, Jordan and Iraq, have urged American citizens to stay alert, avoid unnecessary travel and be prepared to leave the region if the security situation deteriorates.
Officials warned that any sudden escalation could disrupt commercial flights, lead to temporary airspace closures and make travel increasingly difficult. Americans have been advised to keep track of flight schedules, remain in contact with airlines and follow guidance from local authorities.
The advisories come as regional tensions continue to rise following renewed exchanges between Iran and the United States.
In Jordan, the US Embassy has advised American citizens to avoid areas near US military installations after recent Iranian missile attacks targeting American bases.
In Israel, the US Embassy has urged its citizens to identify the nearest bomb shelters and be ready to seek immediate protection in the event of missile strikes or other emergencies.
The US Embassy in Jerusalem also described Iran’s recent military actions as increasingly unpredictable, claiming Tehran has expanded its operations beyond previously targeted areas. The embassy said recent incidents suggest the conflict could spread further across the region.
One such incident occurred on Wednesday when a drone attack set fire to a gas tanker owned by an American company while it was docked at an Egyptian port. Iran has denied involvement, while Egyptian authorities have yet to identify those responsible.
Meanwhile, Iranian officials have accused Washington of driving regional instability and warned that any country assisting the United States militarily could also become a target if the conflict intensifies.
Although no new attacks were reported between Friday and Saturday night, the situation remains volatile after hostilities resumed earlier this week following a brief period of relative calm.
Concerns have grown further after The Wall Street Journal reported that President Donald Trump had instructed the US military to prepare for possible new strikes against Iran. According to the report, Washington and Israel are considering operations targeting Iranian energy infrastructure, with action reportedly possible before the end of the weekend.
Iran has responded with a warning that any attack on its energy facilities or other critical infrastructure would bring serious consequences, raising fresh concerns that the confrontation could expand into a broader regional conflict.
