KARACHI: The Sindh government has directed authorities to work around the clock on the Yellow Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project.

This decision was made during a meeting chaired by Sindh’s Information Minister Sharjeel Memon, where various construction activities and progress reports were reviewed.

Memon emphasized the importance of expediting the project to enhance public transport facilities in Karachi.

He stated, “The Yellow Line BRT is crucial for alleviating traffic congestion and providing efficient transit options for citizens.” The meeting included discussions on the current status of construction and the timeline for completion.

The Yellow Line BRT project is expected to significantly improve urban mobility in Karachi, a city grappling with severe traffic issues. Once operational, it will connect key areas, facilitating easier access to employment and education for thousands of residents.

Looking ahead, the Sindh government plans to hold regular progress meetings to ensure the project remains on track. Officials are optimistic that the enhanced focus will lead to timely completion, with the aim of launching the service by the end of the year.
