PMD Predicts Rain In Balochistan, Punjab & Kashmir

Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) projected rain, wind and thunder in northeast Balochistan, south Punjab, Kashmir, and its suburbs during the next 24 hours.

Dry weather is predicted in most parts of the country, while it is hot in the southern parts. Dust-raising or gusty winds are forecast in plain areas of Punjab, Sindh, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), and Balochistan in the afternoon, said PMD.

Partly cloudy and dry weather is expected in Islamabad. Hot and dry weather is forecasted in most districts of the In Punjab province. Dust-raising or gusty winds are expected in plain areas during the afternoon. Rain, wind, and thunder are expected in Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Layyah, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahimyar Khan, and Sadiqabad.

Dry weather is predicted in most districts of the KP province. However, rain and wind-thunderstorms are expected at isolated places in Swat, Kohistan, Dir, Waziristan, and Dera Ismail Khan, informed Met Office.

PMD stated that dry weather is expected in most districts of the Balochistan province, with chances of rain and wind-thunderstorms in Zhob, Musakhel, Barkhan, Loralai, and Kohlu.

Mostly hot and dry weather is expected in most districts of Sindh province. However, rain, wind, and thunder are expected in Sukkur, Jacobabad, Ghotki, and the suburbs.

Isolated rain, wind, and thunderstorms are expected in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) during the period. During the last 24 hours, dry weather prevailed in other parts of the country.

The maximum temperatures were recorded in Turbat at 43°Cand ShaheedBenazirabad at 40°C.
