NADRA Launches App Version 5.8.0 With Digital Features

ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has officially rolled out version 5.8.0 of its flagship Pak ID mobile application, introducing advanced digital identity features for citizens across Pakistan and overseas.
According to a spokesperson for the authority, the latest upgrade significantly expands remote accessibility by allowing users to manage not only their own digital identity documents but also those of their spouses and dependent children directly through the smartphone platform.
The newly introduced features aim to streamline civil registration processes by eliminating the need for physical visits to NADRA registration centers for routine family documentation.
Through the updated application, applicants can securely capture biometric data, scan supporting documents, and submit applications for digital Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) and family registration certificates with enhanced user verification protocols.
This technological enhancement aligns with the federal government’s broader vision of a digitized public service infrastructure, aimed at reducing bureaucratic delays and enhancing administrative efficiency. By leveraging biometric authentication and secure cloud storage, NADRA continues to modernize its service delivery model to cater to millions of Pakistanis residing both domestically and internationally, ensuring seamless access to essential identity documentation.

Following this nationwide rollout, NADRA authorities have announced plans to conduct continuous technical monitoring and user feedback assessments to further refine the application’s interface.
