Islamabad Police DSP Aftab Dies While on Special Duty

Islamabad: A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Aftab Ahmed, passed away while on special duty in Islamabad after suffering a cardiac episode, police officials confirmed on Monday.

According to a police spokesperson, the officer experienced heart trouble during duty and was immediately shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for treatment.

However, he could not survive and died while undergoing medical care.

The spokesperson said that DSP Aftab Ahmed was serving as DSP Headquarters in Toba Tek Singh.

Following necessary formalities, his body will be transported to his native area, Chak No. 26 near Rajana, for burial, the spokesperson added.

Man dies as tractor-trolley overturns
A man was killed when a tractor-trolley loaded with bricks overturned near Kalas village on Monday,rescue officials said.
According to details, the vehicle driven by Muhammad Sarwar(50) lost balance while negotiating a turn and veered off the road into a nearby field.  The driver was trapped under the overturned tractor and died on the spot.
Rescue 1122 teams reached on the spot and shifted the body to his residence at the request of the family.

Killer gets death sentence
The sessions court awarded death sentence to an accused for murdering his wife on Monday. The court also ordered the convict to pay a
fine of Rs 300,000.
The prosecution said that the convict had slit the throat of his wife Shabnam Bibi with a knife, and the Kahna Police Station had registered a case against him in 2025.
Additional Sessions Judge Ijaz Ahmed Bosal completed the trial of the case and after hearing arguments, issued a decision to sentence the convict to death.
