How to Rearrange Your Instagram Profile Grid

Islamabad: Instagram has rolled out a long-awaited feature allowing users to rearrange posts on their profile grid without being restricted by chronological order, giving creators and everyday users greater control over how their profiles appear.

Announced on June 8, the update enables users to reorganise photos and videos across their profile grid to better showcase content, refresh their aesthetic, or highlight specific projects.

To use the feature, users can visit their profile and long-press any post until a menu appears. Selecting the new “Reorder Grid” option opens an editing screen where posts can be moved freely.

Users can then drag and drop posts into their preferred positions, with changes becoming immediately visible on their profile.

Instagram clarified that pinned posts will remain fixed at the top of the profile and will not be affected by grid reordering.

According to Meta, the feature is designed to help users highlight new content, revive older posts, create a more cohesive visual layout, or mark a new chapter in their online presence.

The update addresses one of Instagram users’ most requested features, ending years of reliance on posting order to shape the appearance of profile grids.
