ISLAMABAD: Communication Minister Abdul Aleem Khan announced on Sunday that the expansion of the Faisalabad-Pindi-Bhattian Motorway (M4) from four to six lanes is set to be completed by the start of next year.

This project aims to enhance the connectivity and travel experience for commuters in the region.

During a visit to the construction site, Khan emphasized that the timely completion of the M-4 expansion project would serve as a modern motorway gift to the people of Faisalabad, fulfilling a demand that has persisted for over 30 years.

The 53-kilometre expansion is currently progressing rapidly, with plans for a state-of-the-art highway featuring landscaped green belts and rest areas for travelers.

The upgrade of the M4 Motorway is expected to significantly improve traffic flow and safety, benefiting both local residents and the economy by facilitating smoother transportation of goods and services.

The addition of trees and green spaces along the motorway will also enhance the aesthetic appeal of the route.

As the project moves forward, further updates on the construction timeline and additional features are anticipated, with the government committed to ensuring that the expansion meets the needs of the growing population and traffic demands in the region.
