Faisalabad Hosts Awareness Rally for Women Bikers
FAISALABAD:
An awareness rally aimed at promoting safe riding practices among women bikers took place in Faisalabad on Saturday, highlighting the growing participation of women in motorcycle riding.
The event, organized by local advocacy groups, aimed to educate female riders about safety measures and traffic regulations. Participants expressed their enthusiasm for biking while emphasizing the need for safer riding environments. “We want to empower women to ride confidently and safely,” said one of the organizers, adding that the rally also aimed to address the challenges women face on the roads.
This initiative comes at a time when more women are taking to motorcycles as a means of transportation, reflecting a shift in societal norms. However, incidents of accidents, including a recent collision between scooters during the rally, underscore the urgent need for improved safety measures and public awareness.
Following the rally, organizers plan to collaborate with local authorities to enhance road safety initiatives and provide training sessions for women bikers. The event marks a significant step towards fostering a supportive community for female riders in Pakistan.
