General Aamer Raza Takes Charge as Commander NSC

Rawalpindi: General Syed Aamer Raza has assumed charge as the new Commander National Strategic Command (NSC), marking the beginning of his tenure at the strategic command.

A ceremony was held in his honour where General Amir Raza was presented with a guard of honour upon assuming the key position, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Following the ceremony, General Syed Aamer Raza visited General Headquarters (GHQ) and called on Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

The newly appointed commander also visited the Martyrs’ Memorial, where he laid a floral wreath and offered Fateha for the armed forces personnel who sacrificed their lives in service of the country.

During the meeting, Field Marshal Asim Munir congratulated General Aamer Raza on his appointment as Commander National Strategic Command and conveyed his best wishes for his new responsibilities, ISPR said.

The National Strategic Command (NSC) is responsible for overseeing Pakistan’s strategic capabilities and plays a key role in matters related to national security.
