LONDON: England returned to the summit of the international T20 cricket rankings on Saturday after securing a comprehensive 3-0 series whitewash against Sri Lanka with a thumping eight-wicket victory at Old Trafford in Manchester.
The hosts made remarkably light work of their target, following equally dominant 119-run and six-wicket successes earlier in the week at Southampton and Cardiff respectively, cementing their status as one of the most formidable white-ball sides in modern cricket.
