Drone Attack Targets Saudi East-West Pipeline

Riyadh: A drone attack targeted Saudi Arabia’s East-West Pipeline, injuring several people and damaging sections of the pipeline in the Riyadh and Medina regions, according to the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The ministry said several people were injured in the attacks, which targeted critical pipeline infrastructure in the two regions.
Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its right to take necessary measures to protect its facilities and national security following the incident.
Meanwhile, Iraqi Prime Minister has urged Saudi Arabia to refrain from taking retaliatory action.

The Iraqi government confirmed that Iraqi territory was used in the attack and announced disciplinary measures against a senior military commander. It also ordered the closure of the Shalamcheh border crossing, which has links to Iran.
Baghdad welcomed Saudi Arabia’s decision to delay any retaliatory response, stressing that attacks targeting Saudi Arabia’s security and stability are unacceptable.
The developments come amid heightened regional tensions and growing concerns over attacks against critical energy infrastructure.
Saudi Arabia Weighs Military Operation Against Houthis
Saudi Arabia is considering a major military operation against Yemen’s Houthi movement, according to US media reports, although no final decision has reportedly been made.
An ABC News report said Riyadh could potentially launch the operation unilaterally. The report cited sources as saying Saudi authorities are weighing their options amid growing regional tensions.
According to the report, the Trump administration is providing Saudi Arabia with intelligence and targeting assistance but is not currently planning to participate directly in military strikes against the Houthis.
