Dense fog engulfs plain areas of Punjab, KP, upper Sindh

Islamabad: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast cold and dry weather for most parts of the country during the next 24 hours.
While very cold weather is expected in upper parts and north Balochistan during the aforementioned period.
Dense fog is likely to occur in plain areas of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh. Frost is expected in the Potohar region during morning hours.
During the last 24 hours, cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country, while very cold in upper parts and north Balochistan. Dense foggy conditions prevailed over plain areas of Punjab.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, Karachi is likely to remain partly cloudy on Tuesday, while light rain and drizzle are also expected in parts of the city. The maximum temperature in the port city is expected to remain below 35 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has issued an alert warning of rain, windstorms, and hailstorms across the province.
A PDMA spokesperson said rainfall is expected to begin in most districts of Punjab from today and may continue until June 20.
Director General PDMA Umar Javed said that, on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, all commissioners and deputy commissioners have been directed to remain on alert and ensure advance arrangements to handle any emergency situation.
According to the Meteorological Department and PDMA, rain is expected in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, and other northern districts, while several central and southern divisions of Punjab are also likely to receive rainfall.
