Another Mpox Case Reported in Karachi

Karachi: Another case of mpox has been reported in Karachi, taking the number of confirmed cases in Sindh to 42 this year, health officials said.

According to hospital officials, mpox was confirmed in a 45-year-old resident of Surjani Town after he developed a rash on his body.

The patient was brought to the Sindh Infectious Diseases Hospital, where doctors conducted a PCR test. The test returned positive for mpox, and the patient is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

The Health Department said 42 confirmed mpox cases have been reported across Sindh so far this year, including 14 cases in Karachi.
