Abbottabad: In an unprecedented administrative decision, the District Administration Abbottabad, under the directives of Deputy Commissioner Sarmad Saleem Akram, has issued a sweeping transfer and posting order affecting all 82 Patwaris in the district, effective immediately.

Officials say this is the largest single transfer of Patwaris in the history of Hazara Division, aimed at improving administrative efficiency, strengthening record management, and safeguarding public interest.

According to details, 21 Patwaris have been reassigned across different Patwar circles within Abbottabad, while 24 others have been transferred from various offices to key departments including the Settlement Officer, SDC Abbottabad, Land Acquisition Branch, and Revenue Record Cell.

The reshuffle also involves personnel from Settlement Havelian, DK Office, and other areas, reflecting a broad restructuring of the district’s revenue setup.

The Deputy Commissioner has instructed all officials to ensure a complete and proper handover of records. Any missing or incomplete records must be reported to the Deputy Commissioner’s office within 24 hours, otherwise it will be assumed that the full historical record has been transferred.

Patwaris currently without postings or awaiting further instructions have been directed to report to the Deputy Commissioner’s office immediately.

The move underscores the district administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and enhanced governance in land revenue management.
