QAU Invites Applications for PEEF Master Level Scholarships

Islamabad: Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) is currently accepting applications for the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) Master’s Level Scholarship from MPhil and MS students who were admitted in Fall 2023 and Spring 2024.

According to information provided by the QAU Student’s Financial Assistance Office, the deadline for scholarship applications is March 29, 2024.Eligibility criteria for the PEEF Master’s Level Scholarship, as outlined in the policy for the 2023–24 academic year, include the following:

Applicants must hold Punjab domicile

Applicants must have secured a minimum of 60 percent marks or a minimum CGPA of 2.5 in their graduation level examination held during 2021–22, 2022–23, and 2023–24 (spring and fall sessions) from Punjab. This applies to candidates who have completed a minimum of sixteen years of schooling or have undergone a 4-year education following the HSSC/F.A./F.Sc/Grade 12 examination.

Students who have been awarded a BS degree from Quaid-i-Azam University are also eligible.

Students who have been admitted as full-time students during the current academic year (2023–24) at the university or any other degree-awarding institution are eligible to apply.

Students enrolled in the 2nd semester (fall/spring) session and in any session (morning/evening/afternoon) are also eligible to apply.

Applicants who meet these criteria are encouraged to submit their scholarship applications by the specified deadline to the QAU Student’s Financial Assistance Office.

The monthly income of parents (from all sources) should be equal to or less than Rs. 60,000 for eligibility, unless the children of government employees in BPS 1-4 have salary as their sole income source, in which case they are exempt from this condition.

Additionally, children of civilians martyred in terrorist attacks are also exempt from the monthly income condition.

Students who are not receiving any other educational scholarship during the current academic year and who already hold MA, MSc, or M.Phil degrees are ineligible to apply for the PEEF Master Level Scholarship.

In addition to meeting PEEF eligibility criteria, prospective students must also meet the merit and need criteria of the respective university or degree-awarding institution.

Application forms are available at the university department or photocopier shops. Applicants must attach attested copies of their domicile, CMC, BSDMC, and degree certificates. An income affidavit worth Rs 50, as per the provided specimen, must also be attached with the application form.
