PMD Forecasts Dry Weather for Most Parts Country

Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted predominantly dry weather across most parts of the country for the upcoming 24 hours.

The synoptic situation indicates the prevalence of continental air over a vast portion of the nation.

Dry conditions are expected to persist in Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan.

Over the past 24 hours, dry weather dominated most regions, with instances of rain, wind, and thunderstorms occurring in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.

Recorded rainfall during this period includes:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa: Dera Ismail Khan (Airport 31mm, City 20mm), Bacha Khan Airport (01mm)

Punjab: Bhakkar (18mm), Jhang (13mm), Faisalabad (12mm), Hafizabad, Joharabad, Sargodha (04mm), Okara, Sheikhupura, Toba Tek Singh (03mm), Lahore (City 02mm, Airport 01mm), Bahawalnagar, Khanewal, Kot Addu (02mm), Multan Airport, Kasur, Noor Pur Thal, Sahiwal (01mm)

Balochistan: Barkhan (14mm)

The highest temperatures recorded were in Shaheed Benazirabad (39°C), Chhor, Lasbela, Hyderabad, Padidan, Mithi, and Sakrand (38°C).
