Over 450 Vehicles Challaned for Dark Tints

Islamabad: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has taken legal action against more than 450 vehicles with tinted windows over the past month as part of its intensified enforcement drive against traffic violations in the federal capital.
An ITP official told APP on Sunday that enforcement against vehicles with tinted windows and other traffic violations was being further strengthened to promote road discipline and ensure safer travel for citizens.
Special traffic squads have been deployed at major roads and intersections across Islamabad to ensure strict implementation of traffic laws, the official said.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Kainat Azhar Khan said ITP was taking action against tinted windows and other traffic violations without discrimination under its zero-tolerance policy.
She warned that violations of traffic laws could contribute to serious accidents and urged motorists to strictly follow road-safety regulations.
“Following traffic laws can help protect precious lives of drivers as well as other road users,” the CTO said.
Kainat Azhar Khan called on motorists to demonstrate responsible behaviour and cooperate with traffic police to ensure safe and smooth movement on the city’s roads.
She reiterated that uniform and indiscriminate enforcement of traffic laws was being ensured across the federal capital.
The CTO said providing citizens with a safe travelling environment and maintaining smooth traffic flow remained among ITP’s top priorities.
