Karachi to Remain Hot and Humid Today: PMD

Karachi/Kasur: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast partly cloudy skies and hot, humid weather in Karachi over the next 24 hours, with light rain and drizzle expected in some parts of the city.

According to the Met Office, the maximum temperature is expected to remain between 34°C and 36°C, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 28°C. Sea breezes are currently blowing at a speed of 7 kilometres per hour, and humidity stands at 78 percent.

Meanwhile, heavy rain triggered a tragic incident in Kasur, where the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed in the Dhang Shah area, killing two people, including a child, and leaving three others seriously injured.

Rescue officials said the deceased were identified as 10-year-old Sohaib and 60-year-old Nazir. The injured include 55-year-old Naziran Bibi, 40-year-old Farwa and three-year-old Parvez, who were trapped under the rubble after the roof gave way.

Rescue teams rushed to the scene, removed the debris and pulled the victims from the collapsed structure before shifting the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment.
