Karachi Rangers Foil Terror Attack, Three Personnel Martyred

Karachi: A terrorist attack on a Pakistan Rangers Sindh camp in Karachi was successfully foiled, although three Rangers personnel embraced martyrdom during the operation. Three terrorists were also killed.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy group Jamaat-ul-Ahrar attempted to storm the Rangers camp near Masamiyat Chowrangi on University Road on Saturday, June 27.
The attackers detonated an explosive device in an attempt to breach the camp’s perimeter. However, Rangers personnel responded immediately and with remarkable courage, preventing the terrorists from entering the facility.
During the intense exchange of fire, three terrorists were killed on the spot, while a fourth attacker was captured alive in an injured condition.
The ISPR said preliminary investigations indicate that the arrested terrorist is an Afghan national. Security agencies are interrogating him to determine the network behind the attack.
During the operation, three Rangers personnel were martyred, while four others sustained injuries. The wounded were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Following the attack, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a comprehensive search operation to eliminate any remaining terrorist threat and ensure the area’s complete security.
The Pakistan Army stated that the fight against terrorism will continue with full determination under Operation Azm-e-Istehkam.
In its statement, the ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan will hold those responsible for the attack, as well as their facilitators, fully accountable. It vowed that every drop of the martyrs’ blood would be avenged through decisive action.
The Chief of Army Staff expressed deep sorrow over the loss of the Rangers personnel and extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs.
Paying tribute to the fallen soldiers, the Army Chief said their sacrifices reflect the unwavering resolve and courage of Pakistan’s armed forces and the nation.
He reiterated that the security forces will continue operations until terrorism is completely eradicated and that the sacrifices of the martyrs will never be allowed to go in vain.
