JI Chief Slams Govt for Shifting Burden on Masses

SADIQABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, has launched a scathing critique against the ruling dispensation, accusing government authorities of transferring the financial weight of their lavish expenditures onto ordinary citizens through oppressive taxation.
Addressing supporters as the party’s anti-inflation train march officially entered Punjab, the JI chief argued that relentless economic pressures, particularly exorbitant petroleum levies and utility price hikes, have severely crippled the purchasing power of the working and middle classes across the country.
The mass mobilization campaign highlights mounting public discontent over rising fuel costs and stringent fiscal measures tied to international lending programs.
