Foreign Military Intervention Fails to Ensure Security: Araghchi

TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated on Saturday that sustainable security in the Middle East cannot be imposed from the outside, emphasizing that foreign military intervention inherently fails to generate lasting peace or stability.
Addressing the Global Dialogue Forum (Global Town Hall 2026) virtually from Jakarta, Indonesia, Araghchi highlighted that decades of external interference in the region have only exacerbated conflicts and deepened geopolitical fractures.
He maintained that regional stability must be organically driven by the nations within the region rather than dictated by external powers.
