Dubai Immigration Announces Help for Stranded Visa Holders

Dubai: Authorities in Dubai have announced a new support initiative for visitors, tourists and job seekers facing visa-related difficulties, offering assistance ranging from accommodation and food to medical support and help with return arrangements.

The initiative was announced by Dubai Immigration chief Lt. Gen. Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, who urged people facing visa issues to approach the Al Aweer Center and inform officials about their circumstances instead of remaining stranded.

Speaking at a press briefing, Lt. Gen. Al Marri said authorities are prepared to assist individuals who are unable to resolve their visa problems and will work to provide appropriate solutions according to each case.

He said people who do not have a place to stay will be provided accommodation, while food and other essential facilities will also be arranged for those in need.

The Dubai Immigration chief added that individuals facing health-related challenges will also receive support, including free medical checkups and dental treatment where required.

Authorities will also assist people who are unable to return to their home countries due to unresolved issues, with efforts being made to address obstacles preventing their departure.

Dubai Immigration has established a dedicated center to guide and support stranded tourists and job seekers, ensuring they have access to official help during difficult situations.

Lt. Gen. Al Marri emphasized that tourists and job seekers should be treated as guests and assured that officials would listen to their concerns and make every possible effort to resolve their problems.

The announcement is part of Dubai’s broader efforts to provide humanitarian support and improve services for people facing legal, financial or administrative challenges while in the emirate.
