Nathiagali: The Galyat Development Authority (GDA) Director General, along with the Deputy Commissioner and District Police Officer (DPO) Abbottabad, visited Nathiagali on Sunday to review the arrangements for the tourists in Galyat and issue instructions to ensure a smooth traffic flow in order to facilitate the safe movement of tourists.

More than 300,000 tourists visited Galyat and around 75,000 vehicles entered the valleys during the four Eid holidays. Out of the total number of vehicles, 43,000 came from the Murree side, while 32,000 entered from Abbottabad.

The GDA’s Tourism Facilitation Centre remained open to help and guide visitors. The Director General (DG) and DPO directed to offer the tourists every amenity. DG personally oversaw all of the operations in Gilgit for the Eid holiday.

Following the DPO’s instructions, the traffic police in Galyat reduced traffic regulations during the four Eid days, avoided fines, and didn’t issue any challans for infractions.
